A team of George Ruto’s MoneyFest Matatu employees is excited after receiving invitations to celebrate Jamhuri Day at State House. George Ruto’s MoneyFest employees excited after being invited to State House. They were surprised by the honour, given their modest backgrounds.
The four young men, Victor Gataka, Boniface Thuku, Stanley, and Dominic Amaya, shared a video online where they unwrapped and read their invites aloud, expressing astonishment that President William Ruto himself extended the invitation.
Victor Gataka, overwhelmed with emotion, read his invitation: “Thank you very much. H.E. President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of Defence Forces, Hon. William Samoei Ruto, and H.E. First Lady Mama Rachael Ruto request the company of Victor Gataka.
That is me here. I will be going to State House tomorrow, and I didn’t go to school!” The group showcased the other invitations, which bore similar messages but were addressed to each team member. They celebrated the moment with joy, highlighting how their lack of formal academic credentials did not hinder their recognition. “We didn’t go to school. We have no degrees. But here we are, invited to State House!” they declared jubilantly.
