Kenyan musician Nadia Mukami has revealed that she and her partner, fellow artist Arrow Bwoy, were forced to postpone their wedding after discovering she was pregnant with their second child.
The couple, who already share one child together, made the decision following advice from Mukami’s father, who urged them to wait until after the birth.
A Wedding Put on Hold
The pair had initially kept their wedding plans under wraps, though Arrow Bwoy had hinted at an impending ceremony during a visit to Mukami’s family late last year.
At the time, he dismissed any notion of polygamy—despite his father having two wives—and confirmed they had set a date. However, those plans were shelved as Mukami’s pregnancy took priority.
“When my father realised things had changed, he advised us to hold off until after the baby arrives,” Mukami explained.

Arrow Bwoy’s Proposal Struggles
The ‘Kai Wangu’ singer had previously opened up about his failed attempts to propose, sharing the comical yet frustrating hurdles he faced. During an interview with a local radio station, he recounted how his first effort—planned during their US trip—was derailed when he discovered Mukami’s fingers were too small for the ring he had purchased.
“I’d arranged everything with my manager, but when we checked her hand, the ring didn’t fit. We had to return it,” he admitted.
Undeterred, Arrow Bwoy had the ring resized, but before he could try again, Mukami surprised him with news of her pregnancy. With her US tour concluding and their return to Kenya imminent, the proposal was once again postponed.
Traditional Wedding Delayed
The couple’s traditional wedding, initially scheduled for 25 February this year, was also pushed back due to their hectic schedules and growing family commitments.
Public Speculation
The revelation has sparked curiosity among fans, many questioning whether the delay signals deeper issues or simply a practical adjustment to their changing circumstances. For now, the duo remains focused on their growing family and music careers, with wedding plans temporarily on hold.
