Nairobi: Wife Stabs Husband, Jumps from Second Floor after Domestic Dispute

A couple from Soweto Kayole, is nursing injuries at Mama Lucy Hospital in Nairobi following a domestic dispute that turned violent. Nairobi: Wife Stabs Husband, Jumps from Second Floor after Domestic Dispute Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Anne Njoroge, the local Nyumba Kumi elder, said the wife attacked her husband, stabbing him multiple times in the stomach on Tuesday, January 28. According to Njoroge, after stabbing her husband, the wife jumped from the second floor of the building where they reside. The husband is in critical condition, while the wife is also receiving treatment for injuries sustained during her jump.

Police in the area have already launched investigations to establish the circumstances leading to the altercation. Njoroge urged married couples to avoid domestic violence and instead seek counselling when faced with challenges in their relationships. “I plead with couples to seek professional help or talk to trusted counsellors when their marriages are in trouble. Violence only makes matters worse,” she said. The incident has shocked residents, with many calling for more community initiatives to educate couples on conflict resolution and peaceful coexistence. “As a community, we need to find ways to support families dealing with such issues. It’s heartbreaking to see such violence,” added Njoroge. Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of reporting domestic disputes before they escalate to violence, urging couples to reach out to friends, family, or local authorities for help
