13 MPs withdraw their amendments to Finance Bill

13 Members of Parliament have withdrawn their proposed amendments to the contentious Finance Bill 2024.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula through a communication, notified the House that MPs; Martins Peter Owino, Beatrice Elachi, Makali Mulu, Gathoni Wamuchomba, Millie Odhiambo, Antony Oluoch, Paul Nzengu, Samuel Atandi, Caleb Amisi, Clive Gisairo, Irene Mayaka, Robert Basil and Joshua Kimilu had withdrawn their amendments.

A total of 37 members including the Chair of the Finance and National Planning Committee had proposed amendments to the Bill.

Legislators are currently making amendments to the text of the Bill where proposed and independent clauses are voted on and any new additions made in the Committee of the Whole House.
