Andrew Kibe Rejects ‘Prophet’ Title After Njugush-Wakavinye Split

Content creator Andrew Kibe has addressed the recent split of comedian Njugush and his wife, Celestine Ndinda, known as Wakavinye. Following the couple’s announcement, Kibe’s followers labelled him a “prophet” for predicting the breakup years earlier.

However, the online commentator has rejected the title in a characteristically blunt video.

The Rejection of Praise

Despite his fans’ enthusiasm, Kibe was quick to dismiss any spiritual or supernatural element to his previous comments. He told his audience that he does not want their praise.

“Don’t call me anything. I am nothing. Never ever try to say Kibe is a prophet. No, that is nonsense, keep that to yourself,” he stated during the broadcast.

He insisted that his earlier assessment of the marriage was not a prophecy but a matter of observing “fact.” Kibe added that he did not need the validation of his viewers, comparing his audience to those who praised and then later turned on historical figures.

“The same people who praised Jesus are the ones who crucified him. So, I don’t need any praise from you,” he added.

Timing of the Announcement

The breakup of the celebrated Kenyan comedy couple came as a shock to many, as they were often seen as a symbol of a stable celebrity marriage. However, Kibe claims the timing of their announcement was calculated based on his own absence from the digital space.

Kibe revealed that he had stopped producing content for two years. He suggested that during this hiatus, the couple believed he had moved away from his usual habit of analyzing and criticizing public marriages. He claimed they felt safe to announce the separation only because they thought he was “dead” and would not be there to mock the situation.

“They thought that I’m dead after stopping producing content for two years. They thought that now they can announce their breakup because I won’t talk about their relationships…”

The ‘Jonah’ Comparison

In his video, Kibe used the biblical story of Jonah to explain the situation. He described a scenario where a man loses his way by giving his “gift” to a woman. He argued that in this specific case, a “serpent” had to intervene in the relationship to ensure the creator returned to his work.

Kibe claimed that being “driven” is only manageable as long as a person does not get married, suggesting that marriage changes the power dynamic. He claimed that God himself intervened to bring about the end of the relationship so the content creator could find his path again.

“I told you that I’m going to dance on the grave of your relationship. I dance to all graves.”
