Kenyan content creator Mjaka Mfine has opened up about her earnings from content creation, saying she makes between KSh300,000 and KSh350,000 a month.
Mjaka shared the figures during a candid conversation with media personality Alex Mwakideu, where they discussed her journey in the digital space and the business behind content creation.

During the interview, Mwakideu asked Mjaka about the kind of money she makes from creating content, pointing out that someone watching the conversation could be considering getting into the industry.
Mjaka confirmed that her monthly earnings can reach between KSh300,000 and KSh350,000.
“KSh300,000 to KSh350,000.”
The figure quickly caught the attention of viewers after a clip from the conversation began circulating online.
Mjaka, however, made it clear that content creation does not guarantee the same income every month.
She pointed to July and August as particularly difficult months, highlighting the unpredictable nature of earning a living through online content.
Content creation comes with highs and lows.
While KSh350,000 represents a significant monthly figure, Mjaka’s comments also highlighted the fluctuations that come with the profession.
Unlike a traditional salary, income for digital creators can depend on factors such as brand partnerships, campaigns, audience engagement and other commercial opportunities.
Mjaka has previously spoken about some of the challenges involved in working with brands.
In May, she discussed the pressure of investing money into content, having work rejected and dealing with delayed payments from brand partnerships.
Mjaka’s journey in the digital space
Mjaka Mfine has built a following through comedy and relatable online content.
A January profile by Radio Jambo described her as a Nairobi-based content creator and stage performer who had gained recognition through TikTok videos, stage performances, and commercial collaborations.
She has also spoken publicly about the difficulties she faced when she first started creating content.
In a September interview with Alex Mwakideu, Mjaka recalled being bullied over her skin tone and admitted that the experience made her consider quitting.
“I was bullied, yes; I wanted to quit,” she said.
Despite those challenges, she continued building her career online.
