A family has been thrown into mourning following the death of their relative, who passed away only a few months after relocating to the United States of America (USA). Peter Wathoko Kumuru died on Sunday, June 14, shortly after moving to the country, leaving his family heartbroken and searching for answers. He was living in Washington State before his sudden death, which sparked grief and concern among members of the Kenyan community. “Peter recently relocated from Kenya and was beginning a new chapter of life in the USA. We schooled together, and he was such a kind and down-to-earth person. He is the uncle of Ngenda MCA aspirant Hon. Muiruri,” Raphael Njorogo, the deceased’s former schoolmate, shared. Peter Kumuru’s family’s plea to netizens Njorogo urged Kenyans to stand with the family in prayer and support them as they work to repatriate their loved one’s remains for a dignified burial. Kumuru leaves behind his wife, children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends, all of whom are struggling to come to terms with the heartbreaking loss.
“Family members have appealed for prayers, encouragement, and support as they navigate this difficult period of mourning. Funeral and memorial service arrangements are expected to be communicated in the coming days. As friends and loved ones continue to pay tribute to his life and legacy, many have described him as a man of strong values, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family. May God grant the family strength and comfort,” the post read.
