‘Superwoman’ hitmaker Karyn White to headline Nairobi’s One Night Only concert

Nairobi is set for a major entertainment moment as American R&B icon Karyn White is confirmed as the headline act for the upcoming One Night Only 2026 concert.

The show will take place at the Sarit Expo Centre on May 31, 2026, bringing together a powerful mix of international and African music stars.

Karyn White, widely known for her timeless hit “Superwoman,” will lead the star-studded lineup in what organisers are describing as a premium, high-end live music experience.

The concert is expected to attract fans of soul, jazz, Afro-pop and R&B for a night of live performances and world-class production.

The event carries the theme “1 Queen, 3 Kings,” reflecting the heavyweight lineup that will share the stage.

Alongside Karyn White, the concert will feature Grammy-winning saxophonist Kirk Whalum, Tanzania’s Bongo Flava star Alikiba and Kenya’s own Bien from Sauti Sol.

Organisers say the 2026 edition continues the success of the previous One Night Only show featuring Kenny G, which built a reputation in Nairobi for delivering exclusive, limited-capacity, premium concerts.

The format focuses on quality production, a refined audience experience, and carefully curated performances.

Karyn White’s performance is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of the night.

The R&B star has built a strong global legacy with a catalogue of hits that defined the late 1980s and early 1990s R&B era.

Her music continues to enjoy strong appeal across generations, making her appearance in Nairobi highly anticipated.

Fans are also looking forward to Kirk Whalum’s live saxophone performance.

The Grammy award-winning musician is known for his smooth jazz sound and international collaborations.

His presence adds a strong jazz element to the night’s lineup.

Alikiba, who is one of East Africa’s most respected music stars, will bring Bongo Flava energy to the stage.

His performance is expected to draw major attention from fans across Kenya and Tanzania.

Bien, on the other hand, will represent Kenya’s modern Afro-pop sound, adding a local touch to the international lineup.

Organisers have positioned One Night Only as more than just a concert.

It is designed as a full experience combining live music, high-end production and an elegant atmosphere.

The event is also part of a growing trend of premium concerts targeting audiences looking for curated entertainment experiences in Nairobi.

With its mix of R&B, jazz and Afro-pop, this year’s concert is expected to appeal to a wide audience.

Fans are already expressing excitement online, with many highlighting the rare opportunity to see multiple international and regional stars on one stage.

Tickets for One Night Only 2026 are already generating interest as anticipation builds ahead of the May 31 event.

Organisers have encouraged fans to secure their spots early due to expected high demand and limited capacity.

As Nairobi prepares for the big night, One Night Only is shaping up to be one of the standout entertainment events of the year, with Karyn White’s headline performance setting the tone for an unforgettable experience at the Sarit Expo Centre.

If 2025 was any indication, tickets will disappear quickly as there will be NO GATE TICKETS available for this event.

Tickets range from Sh5,000 for Early Bird, Sh7,500 for Gallery category, Sh9,500 for Middle category, to Sh12,500 for Front Row seats.
