This honour comes in a year that the Sacco is also celebrating its 35th anniversary of service and financial empowerment.
The award honoured CPA Dennis Mwiti Kirimi for his visionary leadership, commitment to innovation, institutional growth, and dedication to empowering members through inclusive and affordable financial services.
Held around Labour Day under the theme “The Man, The Strength Behind The Republic,” the awards celebrated individuals and institutions making outstanding contributions in leadership, governance, finance, and community development across Kenya.
The event, associated with the broader Jamhuri Kenya Leadership Awards initiatives, brought together leaders from different sectors to honour excellence, patriotism, and transformative leadership.
Hassan Ali Joho, the Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs in Kenya, was the Chief Guest.
Other notable winners included Peter Safari Shehe, who received the Outstanding MCA of the Year Award in the category of Devolution and Public Service.
Speaking after receiving the award, Mwiti said the recognition reflects the commitment, teamwork, and trust shared by the Sacco’s members, board, and staff over the years.
“This recognition comes at a special moment as we celebrate 35 years of serving and empowering our members. It is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and confidence our members continue to place in us,” he said.
