Kenyan singers Nadia Mukami and Arrow Bwoy are currently at the centre of a social media storm. The controversy stems from Arrow Bwoy’s latest song, “Sidechick,” which features artist Dufla Diligon.
Released about a week ago, the track has sparked intense debate regarding its message. Many fans have questioned why a man with a family would release a song openly praising “sidechicks.”
The Instagram Clash
The tension escalated when fellow musician Parroty Vunulu, who appears in the music video, tried to mediate. In a public Instagram post, Parroty revealed that Nadia Mukami had blocked him for his role in the project.

He urged her to forgive Arrow Bwoy and give him a second chance. Parroty highlighted the heavy financial cost of the production to justify keeping the video online.
“Please Forgive @arrowbwoy and give him a 2nd Chance especially vile Amespend 2million Ku shoot Side Chick,” wrote Parroty Vunulu.
Nadia Mukami was quick to respond, firmly rejecting the apology. She questioned how the men involved could support such a message. “How do you guys allow a grown man aimbe juu ya sidechic na akona familia ??????” she asked. Her response ended with a blunt: “Apology denied!!!!!!”
Parroty insisted that his only role was to appear in the video, affirming that he didn’t endorse Arrow Bwoy’s message in the song.
“I was only asked to make appearance in the video. I didn’t bring Arrow Bwoy the side chicks. It’s just a song and I being the voice of a rasta, I just ask you Nadia just forgive Arrow Bwoy if he offended you and please, give the song the blessings to do better,” he added.
Arrow Bwoy’s Catch-22
Arrow Bwoy now finds himself in a difficult position between his professional investment and his personal life. He recently took to Instagram to ask his followers if he should take the song down.

The artist explained that the production was a significant project with high stakes.
“Apparently so naskia nafaa ku i pull down ju ina disrespect… hii ni ngoma, project roughly tume invest kama 2 million shillings,” Arrow Bwoy stated.
The singer admitted he is torn. He mentioned that while he does not want trouble, the song has already attracted over 1,000 comments, many of which are positive. However, the pressure from his partner continues to mount.
Matrimonial Respect vs. Fan Loyalty
The situation worsened after Nadia Mukami’s interview on Milele FM. During the show, she stated that if Arrow Bwoy truly respects her, he should remove the song from YouTube.
This public ultimatum has left the singer weighing the loss of his KSh 2 million investment against the stability of his relationship.
