City tycoon Jimal Roho Safi’s girlfriend, Wangari Thiong’o, has shocked Kenyans after revealing she lost hundreds of thousands of shillings at Nyayo National Stadium when a thief snatched her handbag.

Wangari, who shares a daughter with the Somali businessman, reported that her black handbag containing a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Ksh 256,000 in cash, ear pods, a power bank, and important documents was stolen during the Sunday, March 23, 2025, match.

She officially reported the incident at the Nyayo Stadium Police Post, with the OB number 13/23/03/2025.

Wangari Appeals for the Return of Her Belongings

In a heartfelt message, she pleaded with the person responsible to at least return some of the stolen items.

“My black bag was snatched today after the match at Nyayo National Stadium. It had a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Ksh 256K in cash, ear pods, a power bank, and important documents.”

She added:

“If you’re the one who took it, please keep the cash if you must, but I’m kindly asking you to return the rest—especially the phone and documents.”

“No questions asked, just do the right thing.”

Harambee Stars vs. Gabon: A Night of Passionate Support

On Sunday evening, thousands of Harambee Stars supporters filled Nyayo National Stadium to cheer the team in their match against Gabon.

Dressed in different colours, fans turned up in large numbers to showcase their unwavering love for football.

From the early hours of Sunday, the stadium began filling up with supporters clad in Harambee Stars jerseys.

The Sunday match came just days after Harambee Stars staged a dramatic comeback against The Gambia, overturning a 2-0 deficit to secure a draw at Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on Thursday night.

Kenya’s goalkeeper Ian Otieno played a crucial role, saving a first-half penalty to keep the game at 0-0 by halftime.

As Kenya continues its campaign for a historic first-ever FIFA World Cup qualification, fans remain hopeful that the national team will rise to the occasion.
