After days of consultations with his supporters in some parts of the country, ODM boss Raila Odinga is set to outline what his next political move will be. On his return to Kenya, Raila told his supporters where he would be directing them politically. He thereafter embarked on traversing the country to meet the ODM party membership for counsel on what he should decide next. He will be declaring his partnership with President William Ruto at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
Earlier, Ruto chaired a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Parliamentary Group meeting at State House Nairobi to deliberate on the oncoming working partnership. The president, while rallying his troops behind the pact, said the country’s unity was his priority and that he would cooperate with those aligning with that. “This is the time to put Kenya and the people ahead of any other consideration. We will work together, our political inclinations notwithstanding, to take our country forward. Kenya, and the people, must succeed. At State House, Nairobi, chaired the Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary Group meeting,” the president said. Boni Khalwale, Silvanus Osoro, and Senator Kathuri Murungi during the UDA PG meeting. The PG meeting was also attended by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi, and UDA Governors.
