Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has once again hinted at forming a formidable coalition ahead of the 2027 General Election. Gachagua Says His Team Will Defeat Ruto by Huge Margin: “There’ll Be No Need for Supreme Court” During an interview with Royal Media Services’ vernacular radio stations—Mulembe, Vuuka, and Sulwe FM, on Tuesday, February 4, Gachagua insisted that President William Ruto will not be re-elected in 2027. Gachagua disclosed that the team he is assembling is targeting to defeat Ruto’s alliance with a huge such that there will be no need for one to contest the election results at the Supreme Court.

The former deputy president claimed his team is targeting 15 million votes, arguing that the election results will mirror the 2002 election outcome where Uhuru Kenyatta was defeated by late president Mwai Kibaki by a huge margin. . “President William Ruto won with a margin of 200,000 votes. Our strategy is to get 15 million votes. And we want a difference of around five to six million votes so that no one will go to the Supreme Court, it will not be necessary. We are going to have a 2002 moment,” Gachagua said.
