Brian Chira’s grandmother has changed her tune after backlash over plans to move out and sell a house TikTok users built for her grandson. Brian Chira’s grandmother wants a new house. What does Brian Chira’s grandmother want? In a TikTok video, the granny claimed that the area where she lives is prone to insecurity. She also said that they were a distance away from the main road, and she was open to moving to a container house nearer the road. Her comments did not sit well with TikTok user @peter_kioi_mvp_office75, who went live on his account and told Chira’s grandmother not to try and sell the house.  He further warned Obidan Dela or any other TikToker against raising funds online for her. Kioi noted that they built the house for Chira’s sake, not her. Most TikTok users shared his views, with a few saying she should be allowed to do whatever she wants with the house. Amid the debate, Chira’s grandmother has gone live on TikTok, noting that she would not sell the house.

“I will not sell your things without your knowledge. I want you guys to sit down and see what to do for me. You can help me get an electric fence or buy land and build another place for me. There were crooks around the other day and I called Obidan but he did not pick up. They are stealing cattle and other things. There is no security.” Chira’s grandmother noted that she did not want to be given money while acknowledging that TikTokers changed their lives.  “If not for you, where would I have gone? Where would I have taken these kids?” She further called upon TikTok users to visit and check up on her. “I love you guys so much. We will stay put and wait to see what you guys decide.”

However, many Kenyans were unimpressed by her video and reacted by saying: Wanjiru: ‘’Where did she live before Chira passed away?” Audrey: “She thinks she’s our grandmother.” Sheekow_Maina: “We listen but we don’t touch our savings.” Shiro Samuels: “The audacity. Entitlement in capital letters.” Maureen: “Let us raise funds to help her relocate to Dubai permanently. I will take care of her passport.” Is Brian Chira’s grandma broke? Chira’s grandma disclosed that still had money from the fundraiser and she would not touch it. The granny said that she was planning to educate her youngest grandson with the money.
