Liverpool forward, Portuguese Diogo Jota has died following a car crash in Spain at the age of 28.
Jota had reportedly been travelling in a car with his brother Andre, who is also a 26-year-old footballer, when the vehicle went off road.
The incident occurred on the A-52 in the province of Zamora, according to multiple English and Portuguese press reports.
The tragic news comes just two weeks after Jota married his long-term girlfriend Rute Cardoso in Porto.
Jota signed for Liverpool in September 2020 from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of more than £40million.
