KQ flight to Lagos lands at JKIA after technical hitch

A Kenya Airways plane to Lagos, Nigeria, landed at  the JKIA after takeoff on Wednesday morning following a technical fault.
“Flight KQ532 that departed…at [8.10am] has experienced an air turn-back due to technical reasons. Equipment change effected,” KQ said.
Via Twitter, the national carrier said the time of departure was rescheduled to 11.30am.
“..It will arrive at Lagos at [2.45pm]. Inconveniences caused are highly regretted.”
KQ has been cancelling and delaying flights since its profits started dwindling last year.
The airline, part-owned by the state and AirFrance KLM, sank into the red four years ago after tourism slumped following a spate of attacks.
Last September, a massive brain drain at the troubled airline left its technical department greatly understaffed, causing delays and safety concerns.
