A touching video featuring celebrated Tanzanian gospel singer Rose Muhando alongside her Kenyan pastor husband, Robert Lumbasi, has stirred emotional reactions across social media, with many viewers praising the couple’s public display of love and respect.
Marriage Revelation Takes Fans by Surprise
Pastor Lumbasi recently left many worshippers and online followers stunned after publicly announcing that he is married to the Nibebe hitmaker.
The revelation came months after Muhando openly stated that she had never been married, explaining that she had yet to meet a partner who aligned with her understanding of biblical love and commitment.
For years, the gospel star had shared her journey as a single mother, revealing that she raised her three children on her own through faith, discipline, and hard work, eventually guiding them to university without a present father figure.
From Public Caution to Private Commitment
In the past, Muhando had maintained that she was not rushing into marriage, often questioning what value a partner could bring beyond financial security and genuine love.
However, during a church service, Pastor Lumbasi disclosed that he had already completed dowry negotiations, warning other men against pursuing her.
According to the pastor, the dowry was paid in Tanzania in 2023, marking what he described as a meaningful cross-border union.
He explained that the decision to keep the marriage private was intentional and rooted in faith, respect, and family values.
Sweet Church Moment Leaves Rose Muhando Blushing
A recent video recorded during a church service captured the couple standing together at the pulpit. Lumbasi, dressed in a blue suit and white shirt, stood beside Muhando, who wore a white skirt suit paired with a T-shirt.
“When we leave here, the queen is healed, and I am healed. Praise God,” the pastor declared as the congregation erupted in cheers.
He went on to formally introduce his wife, describing her as “the mother of my children, the woman I respect, and an anointed servant of God.”
As the words rang out, Muhando visibly blushed, covering her face with her hands, clearly moved by the moment.
When she finally took the microphone, she appeared briefly overwhelmed by the affectionate introduction.
The video quickly attracted reactions from Kenyans online, many of whom shared heartfelt and humorous comments.
One user wrote, “If Rose found love, who am I?” while another reflected, “This is the right age to get married. I don’t know why I was in a rush.” Others admired the singer’s shy reaction, describing the moment as proof that love remains beautiful at any stage of life.
Pastor Confirms Marriage Details
In a separate address to his congregation, Pastor Lumbasi reaffirmed that the marriage was formalised in 2023 through a modest family ceremony attended only by close relatives and trusted friends.
He emphasised that there were no lavish celebrations or media coverage, as the couple chose to prioritise their spiritual calling over public attention.
“I want to make it clear that Rose is not single,” he told the church. “Please respect our marriage.”
