In their message, the couple revealed that in September 2021 they were informed that having children might not be possible. Despite the uncertainty surrounding their fertility, Wode Maya proposed to Miss Trudy three months later, in December 2021.
Their decision to move forward with marriage came amid difficult circumstances and unresolved questions about their future as a family.
They got married in September 2022, a date that carried emotional significance for Miss Trudy, as it coincided with the anniversary of her mother’s death 13 years earlier. The couple has previously spoken about how this period blended joy with remembrance and grief.

The post further disclosed that the couple experienced six miscarriages over the years that followed. According to their statement, these losses shaped much of their private journey as they continued to hope for a successful pregnancy.
