Peter, a 41-year-old shop owner from Mukono, Uganda, had always been careful with money. He kept records, avoided unnecessary spending, and worked long hours to make sure his family lived comfortably. For years, his business supported his household well, and he was even able to help relatives when they were in need. But suddenly, things began to change in a way he could not explain.
Money started disappearing without reason. Sales were still good, customers were coming, yet at the end of every week, there was nothing to show for the effort. Bills piled up, debts increased, and savings completely vanished. Peter checked his workers, reviewed his books, and even suspected theft, but nothing added up. The more he worked, the poorer he became, and the stress nearly broke him.
