Source: Getty Images In a notice, KPLC said its engineers will undertake system maintenance in seven counties on Thursday, August 28. Why is KPLC system maintenance important? Kenya Power indicated that it is necessary to interrupt supply periodically to facilitate maintenance and upgrade of power lines in the network. According to the utility firm, system maintenance also enables them to connect new customers or to replace power lines during road construction.
“Good evening, kindly receive areas scheduled for power maintenance tomorrow, Thursday, August 28, 2025,” Kenya Power said.
1. Nairobi County Area: Part of Mowlem ( 9 am – 5 pm) Part of Mowlem, Part of Umoja Three and adjacent customers.
2. Trans Nzoia County Area: Bikeke, Maili 7 (9 am – 5 pm) Bikeke, Alakara, Nyakinywa, Maili Saba, Machungwa 51, Kapkoi, Moi’s Bridge, Kona Mbaya, Loreto, Nzoia, Matunda Hospital, Mbururu and adjacent customers.
