Mwende Macharia has announced she has political ambitions, and that feeling has been growing in her for some time.
Speaking to Anthony Ndiema on her YouTube channel, Mwende gushed over her former boss. “I feel like it’s very divine. I needed to speak to the right person” she told him about wanting to speak up. He noted her growth in the media industry, saying she wanted to be intentional in her job.
‘maisha hainipeleki, mi napeleka maisha” she informed him.
Does she have any political ambitions? “She said “Wait and see”
Ndiema also informed her he has noticed she is leaning in that direction “Would you want to get into politics? what does your corporate tomorrow look like, other than media?” he enquired.
She responded “Unaniita, A few days ago, I was having this conversation, and someone encouraging me to start, then I told them, you know I am still in denial, badi sijakubali, they were like apana, you need to do it, and then I even asked myself, ama why not? coz I was saying ama I wait for 2032! but they asked me why not now?
The mother of two stated
“So wait and see! I love leadership, I love and servant hood. I love love to mentor, champion rights, so if I’m able to serve, through politics, in that way I wouldn’t mind”
Why did she leave her job? She laughed as he did too.
“But before we even get there, let me just share about my working relationship with you, we ni mgumu sana kufanya kazi …let me say..Mwende you …alot of people who manage people, might have alot of issues working with you , ” her former Boss informed her, to which Mwende agreed “and that’s true”
“There were problems in the company, we were not being paid, and we had to get to that level where questions had to be asked, and tough decisions as well that include me not being in studio anymore, . So nikawa ni mimi niko mstari wa mbele, champion mkubwa kabisa”
