Dr. Ofweneke warns women against this terrible habit

Veteran media personality Dr. Ofweneke has asked women to stop expecting the world of men whom they are dating when their own fathers are not capable of providing the desired lifestyle for them or their moms.

The father of two shared this through a video he posted on his TikTok page calling out women who have a habit of placing financial burdens and unrealistic expectations on their boyfriends especially when the men they are dating are young and just starting in life.

“Ladies, you also need to start being fair to yourselves and to these guys,” the TV show host started off as he argued his point.

He went on to caution said ladies by adding that it was unrealistic to ask a man for things they never grew up seeing their dads do for their moms. Or in retrospect things that their dads are doing for their families after years of working.

“Stop asking men what your own father was not able to provide for your mother. Don’t give a man pressure to achieve at his age what your father is achieving in his old age, and that is the blank truth,” the father of 2 added

Wrapping up Dr. Ofweneke noted, “You know very well these men are struggling and working hard; some of them are firstborns and are carrying black tax and everything. You are coming and making demands.

You cannot request a 20-year-old the kind of lifestyle only a 40-year-old can give you.”

As he instructed women who get into relationships, knowing their men have no money, to be content and avoid stressing them, as some already have too much of a burden.

“Stop giving these men so much hope, yet you know your standards are high. Say no from the onset,” he added. His post comes a few days after TikToker Alma Mutheu went viral for an interview where she shared that her boyfriend for not a provider.

Intimating she pays for the bills in their household.
