Benard Kavuli, a student at Mount Kenya University and a digital content creator, was abducted in Ngong Town on Sunday, December 22. CCTV footage from the incident emerged showing Kavuli walking near a Rubis petrol station when unknown men in a white Subaru forcibly bundled him into the vehicle before speeding away. Why does Ahmednasir plead for Kavuli’s release? The abduction has sparked widespread concern, with prominent lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi expressing dismay.
“I’m just dismayed that anyone would abduct or harm Bernard Kavuli. I used to banter with him on X because he was always the first person to comment on my tweets,” he said. Ahmednasir described Kavuli as a young, harmless individual who enjoyed engaging in debates with a lighthearted approach. He urged the abductors to release Kavuli immediately, emphasising the need for his safe return before Friday prayers.
“He was a young, harmless boy who loved to engage and debate, always with a light touch. I plead with his abductors to release him immediately… before Friday prayer, at the latest,” Ahmednasir added in a statement. Meanwhile, Kavuli’s family has expressed growing frustration over his disappearance, raising serious concerns about his health and well-being. They continue to appeal for his safe return as investigations into the case unfold.
