Jackson Ole Sapit condemns abductions of young Kenyans: “Acts of darkness”

The Anglican Church of Kenya archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit has roundly condemned the ongoing abductions of youngsters who have been very local in criticising the government. So far, youngsters such as Peter Muteti, Billy Mwangi, and Kibet Bull, among others, have been abducted from their homes, and their parents are very worried about them.

While eyewitnesses described the people who took the young people as police, the cops have since denied being involved and said that the reports were costing them their reputation. Why does Ole Sapit think they’re acts of darkness? “We want to call for a stop to the abductions we are seeing; these are acts of darkness, not acts of the light,” said Sapit.

“Any of those abductions in a concealed vehicles or in the shadows of the unknown only speaks of us acting as agents of darkness. Let us act as agents of light,” he added. In the comment section, a member of the public offered an opinion about the abductions, which were reportedly caused by cartoons, silhouettes, and AI-generated photos depicting President William Ruto in a bad light. What do some spiritual Kenyans think about abductions?

Eagle7-nl4bu3wh8c on YouTube said Kenyans must not be so cruel against William Ruto as to publicly dishonour and insult him contrary to God’s commandments (Romans 13:1-7, Daniel 2 21, 1 Peter 2:13-18, Titus 3:1). “Just like you, beloved bishop is a spiritual minister to God’s people; kings, presidents, governors and all people in authority in governments like our Kenya government are God’s messengers to us Kenyans and must be honoured and obeyed. (Romans 13:1-7, 1 Peter 2:13-17, Titus 3:1),’ said the netizen.

“Failure to honor and obey God’s commandments and the government could lead to God approved dire legal consequences (Romans 13:1-4, Ezra 7:25-26). This truth is eternal and forever settled in heaven so be ware dear bishop,” he opined, quoting scripture.
