During a fundraiser in Mosop Nandi county on Wednesday, June 6, Farouk rebuked Gachagua for cautioning MPs against touring other constituencies.  Farouk joined Ruto in encouraging elected leaders to tour various parts of the country, saying it was one way of ending tribalism. He accused the deputy president of being selfish in his push for Mt. Kenya unity. “I thank these MPs because they have said no to tribalism. They have come to Mosop to benchmark, working from one constituency to another, and we have asked them that unity for the country is more important than an individual,” Farouk said. What Gachagua said about MPs touring the country His remarks come days after Gachagua accused Kenya Kwanza politicians of roaming around the country and fueling premature succession talk on ‘his’ Mt Kenya turf. Speaking in Uasin Gishu county, Gachagua said that it is wrong for elected leaders allied to the government to waste time moving from one constituency to another instead of serving their own people.
