Tanzanian musician Juma Jux and his wife, Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo, popularly known as Priscy, have shared their son’s face with the public for the first time as he celebrates his first birthday.
The couple unveiled photos of Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala on their Instagram pages while marking the milestone with a heartfelt message dedicated to their only child.
The reveal comes after months of the couple sharing pictures and videos of Rakeem while keeping his face away from the camera. The decision to show his face on his first birthday has now given fans their first clear look at the boy.
‘We blinked, and a whole year passed’
Jux and Priscy reflected on their journey as parents, describing their son’s first year as one filled with love, joy and memorable moments.
“We blinked, and a whole year passed.”
In their message, the couple described Rakeem as a “cheeky, happy” and clever child who brings joy to those around him.
They also celebrated the changes they have witnessed during his first 365 days, saying they have enjoyed watching his personality develop.
“365 days of loving you, cuddling you, and watching your beautiful personality shine,” they wrote.
The birthday message was accompanied by prayers for their son’s future, with the couple asking God to guide his steps and give him a life filled with purpose.
Rakeem’s first year
Rakeem was born on August 24, 2025, in Canada, becoming the first child for Jux and Priscy. His birth was announced by his maternal grandmother, Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo, who revealed his full name as Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala.
His arrival came only months after Jux and Priscy got married in a series of celebrations held in Tanzania and Nigeria.
The couple continued to document some of their son’s milestones after his birth. In January 2026, Priscy marked his five-month milestone and shared her excitement about watching him reach new stages of development.
The family has also celebrated Rakeem across Tanzania and Nigeria. In October 2025, his maternal grandmother welcomed Jux, Priscy and the baby to Nigeria in a celebration attended by relatives and friends.
‘Our greatest answered prayer’
As Rakeem turns one, his parents ended their message with prayers for his health, happiness and future.
They said they hoped he would always know how deeply he is loved and that his laughter would never stop.
“You are our greatest answered prayer.”
The couple then wished their son a happy first birthday, marking one year since he became part of their growing family.
