Kenyan comedian and content creator Nicki Big Fish has announced an ambitious attempt to enter the Guinness World Book of Records. Speaking on the Alex Mwakideu podcast on AMTV, the prankster revealed that he has already initiated the official application process.
The Record Attempt
The challenge focuses on setting a new record for the longest continuous pranking session. Initially, Nicki planned to conduct pranks for a 12-hour period. He wanted to perform various storylines without any breaks.
“I applied for the Guiness World Record in 2024, I wanted to do the longest prank from 6 am to 6 pm. I was following up on that but some things happened, I became sick and was admitted in hospital for like 3 months,” he revealed.
However, his recent experience with live-streaming has convinced him that he can exceed this target. He now believes he can sustain the marathon for much longer than originally anticipated.
“I now want to do different pranks nonstop from 6am to 6pm, I can reach 72 hours; it is easy.”
The attempt will require him to remain active throughout the duration. He told Mwakideu that the challenge involves constant pranking with no time allocated for rest.
The Risks of the Trade
Nicki’s career as a prankster has often put him in physical danger. He admitted that he frequently faces confrontations while filming his content. During the interview, he disclosed that he had been assaulted just twenty-four hours prior.
“I was pranking a girl and she hit me.”
This is not the first time he has faced adversity. Early in his career, Nicki spent six months in prison. He was arrested alongside his comedy group following a performance. Despite the hardship, he used the experience to entertain fellow inmates and hone his craft.
A Fifteen-Year Journey
Nicki Big Fish has been a fixture in the entertainment industry for 15 years. His stage name originates from his time as a competitive athlete. He was a swimmer for the Kenyan national under-17 team, which led to the “Big Fish” moniker.
His interest in performance began in primary school. He founded the first drama and comedy group at Mathare 4A Primary School. By the age of 23, he had already established his own film and production company.

The Business of Content
The comedian views his work as a major business enterprise. He recently invested over 3 million KES into a live-streaming tour. This tour spanned more than 10 counties in Kenya and extended to Kampala, Uganda.
He typically travels with a professional team of five to six people to manage his productions. His company also handles logistics and itineraries for international artists visiting Kenya.
Advice for New Creators
Despite his veteran status, Nicki stated that he feels like he is only just beginning his journey. He urged young creators to respect the creative process rather than seeking instant fame.
“Always take time to learn the process.”
He remains committed to his upcoming Guinness challenge. He hopes that bringing the record to Kenya will inspire the next generation of entertainers.
