Grammy-winning singer and actress Coco Jones and Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell are officially husband and wife after exchanging vows in a star-studded wedding attended by family, friends and fellow celebrities.
The couple were married on August 1, 2026, just over a year after announcing their engagement in July 2025. Their wedding reception featured a special performance from American singer and rapper Blxst, while guests celebrated the couple’s journey from a private romance to marriage.
From private romance to husband and wife
Jones, 28, and Mitchell, 29, began dating in 2023 but chose to keep their relationship largely out of the spotlight. Rumours of their romance gained momentum after they were spotted together at an Usher concert in 2024 before Jones later confirmed they were a couple.
The pair announced their engagement in July 2025 after two years of dating. Mitchell proposed during a romantic holiday shortly after the end of his NBA season and Jones’ music tour. Their engagement lasted just over a year before they officially became husband and wife on August 1, 2026.
Speaking about the milestone, Jones described her marriage as “the biggest contract” she has ever signed, jokingly comparing the lifelong commitment to the most important deal of her life.

The wedding brought together notable names from both the entertainment and sporting worlds.
Among the celebrity guests were singer Ciara and her husband, NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, alongside several NBA stars including Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson and Bam Adebayo.
The newlyweds shared their first dance before Blxst entertained guests with a live performance during the reception. Jones stunned in a white gown featuring a crystal-embellished corset bodice before changing into a lace mini dress for the after-party.
Mitchell complemented her look in a cream suit paired with custom trainers featuring their wedding date in gold lettering. The couple celebrated their first day as husband and wife surrounded by loved ones from the worlds of music, film and sport.
Two thriving careers
Jones has established herself as one of the fastest-rising names in entertainment. She first found fame through Disney before earning widespread acclaim for her role as Hilary Banks in Bel-Air. As a recording artist, she won a Grammy Award for her hit single ICU and has continued to release successful R&B music.
Mitchell is one of the NBA’s premier guards and has been a cornerstone of the Cleveland Cavaliers since joining the franchise in 2022. A multiple-time NBA All-Star, he has consistently ranked among the league’s top scorers and helped guide Cleveland into title contention.
