Kinuthia Responds to Doubters of His Age as He Celebrates Turning 25

Kenyan content creator and digital influencer Kelvin Kinuthia has found himself at the centre of a social media storm after celebrating his 25th birthday. The cross-dresser, known for his viral comedic skits and bold fashion choices, took to Instagram to mark the milestone, only to be met with a wave of skepticism regarding his actual age.

A Milestone Under Fire

The celebrations began with Kinuthia sharing his disbelief at reaching the mid-twenties mark. Posting to his verified account, he wrote, “Still can’t believe I’m 25… Twenty-Fine.“.

In another post, he reflected on his journey, asking his followers, “When did we really get here? Happy 25th birthday to me.”

However, the comment sections quickly filled with followers questioning the validity of his claim. While some fans offered genuine well-wishes, a significant portion of the audience suggested that the influencer appears much older than 25.

The Social Media Backlash

The skepticism ranged from light-hearted jokes to outright disbelief. User @theyluvv_wambo commented, “Kama kinuthia ako 25 Mimi sijazaliwa bado.”

“Now, girl, you know damn well you are not twenty-five.” — @cindyoganarogoi.

Others suggested much higher figures, with @ja.milah75 stating, “I thought ni uko 40.”

The number 52 became a recurring theme in the critiques. @marcello_murillo simply wrote, “uko 52” (you are 52), while @wam.bo8 joked, “Simu yangu inaona 52.” Another follower, @nmary7910, expressed confusion by asking, “25 aje ???”

Kinuthia’s Sharp Response

Kinuthia did not let the comments go unanswered. He addressed the “haters” directly through a video post featuring a pointed text overlay. The text read: “Them: Na Kinuthia anaturn 25 yrs ama 52yrs. Me: Ni Mimi ama nyinyi mlizaliwa?”

The retort, which questions whether the critics were the ones present at his birth, was intended to shut down the age debate.

He further clarified his stance in a separate caption, pleading with his audience to let him enjoy his day. “Birthday ni yangu guys… priss!!!” he wrote, accompanied by laughing emojis.

Support from the Industry

Despite the age controversy, several high-profile Kenyan creators rallied behind him. Influencer @mungai_eve wished him a “Happy birthday tata,” while @_krisbabyy sent love, telling him to “Kubali umri.”

A Rising Digital Star

Outside of this recent controversy, Kelvin Kinuthia has built a substantial brand as one of Kenya’s most prominent cross-dressing content creators. Drawing from wider online reports, he first gained fame on TikTok for his relatable characters and his refusal to adhere to traditional gender norms in his costuming.

This is not the first time his personal life has trended; his age and lifestyle are frequently debated by a public often divided by his unconventional approach to content.
