Where people use Claude AI the most

The United States leads global usage of Claude AI, accounting for 21.6 per cent of total activity, according to Anthropic’s Economic Index.

This places it far ahead of other countries, reflecting its advanced tech ecosystem and early adoption of artificial intelligence tools.

India ranks a distant second with 7.2 per cent, highlighting its rapidly growing digital economy and large developer base.

Brazil, Japan and South Korea each hold a 3.7 per cent share, pointing to steady uptake across both emerging and developed markets.

The United Kingdom follows at 3.2 per cent, while Germany, France and Canada register more modest usage levels between 2.1 and 2.6 per cent. Australia rounds out the top 10 with 1.9 per cent.

Despite new data releases in early 2026, the overall distribution among leading countries has remained relatively stable.

The figures underline how AI adoption continues to be concentrated in technologically advanced and highly connected economies.
