Kenyan content creator Etemesi Ambunya, popularly known for her hilarious and relatable “Good morning from Kili” videos, has opened up about the many jobs and ventures she explored before finding her footing in the world of content creation.

From Selling Maize in Kitale to Gikomba Hustles
One of Etemesi’s earliest hustles involved selling maize on a lorry in Kitale. It was far removed from the glamorous world of social media, but it gave her firsthand experience of what it means to work hard and chase an opportunity wherever it presents itself.
She later ventured into the clothing business, buying clothes from Gikomba and reselling them.
Like many young Kenyans trying to make ends meet, Etemesi was willing to experiment with different businesses rather than sit and wait for the perfect opportunity.

A Short-Lived Modelling Career
Etemesi also tried modelling, hoping to build a career in the industry. However, the career did not last as long as she had hoped.

At one point, she even jokingly describes herself as having “almost become a fisherwoman because of love,” another unexpected chapter in a life filled with twists and turns.
