Pastor Ezekiel Issues Chilling 2027 Food Shortage Prophecy

New Life Prayer Centre and Church founder Pastor Ezekiel Odero has stirred debate after warning that Kenya could experience a severe famine in 2027 due to poor harvests and inadequate rainfall.

Speaking during a church service, the televangelist claimed that the country’s current agricultural output is already below expectations, urging Kenyans to pray for the nation as he believes difficult times may lie ahead.

“Do you remember when I told you there would be hunger next year and a food shortage? If you consult those involved in agriculture, they will tell you that the harvest in the Rift Valley has been very poor. Farmers are harvesting only about 40 per cent of what they expected.”

According to Pastor Ezekiel, the current harvest would not be enough to sustain the country’s food needs.

“That amount cannot feed Kenya, and we do not know why God is giving us this message. So, we need to pray for our country.”

“There will be no rain”

The preacher went on to claim that even if rainfall were to occur in the coming months, it would not significantly improve the food situation.
He predicted that 2027 would experience little or no rainfall, leading to what he described as a severe famine.

“Even if it rains now, it won’t make much difference. The reality is that there will be no rain next year, and I would like us to pray. Next year there will be a severe famine unlike anything you have seen before.”

His remarks quickly spread across social media, with supporters calling on Kenyans to take the warning seriously through prayer, while others questioned the basis of the prediction and urged the public to wait for scientific weather forecasts from the Kenya Meteorological Department.

A prophecy that recalls an earlier prediction

Pastor Ezekiel’s latest message has also reminded many followers of another widely discussed prophecy involving Tanzanian actress and model Wema Sepetu.
Months before Wema publicly announced the birth of her son, a video circulated online showing the preacher praying for her and asking God to bless her with a child.
During the prayer, Pastor Ezekiel said:

“Whether Wema Sepetu is a good or bad person, she has accepted God’s will.”

He then prayed that God would surprise her with a major blessing in her life.
Following Wema’s announcement that she had welcomed a baby boy, many of Pastor Ezekiel’s followers revisited the prayer, with some describing it as evidence that his earlier words had come to pass.
