The Linda Mwananchi political faction, led by ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, is set to take its grassroots mobilisation campaign to the Gusii region on Friday with a series of political rallies in Kisii and Nyamira counties.
The delegation will be led by Sifuna alongside Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Siaya Governor James Orengo, who have in recent months emerged as some of the most vocal leaders championing the Linda Mwananchi movement.
The Gusii tour will also feature several other lawmakers allied to the faction, among them Suba South MP Caroli Omondi, Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi and Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka, as well as other elected leaders.
The visit marks the latest stop in the faction’s ongoing nationwide outreach campaign, which has seen its leaders traverse different regions as they seek to consolidate political support ahead of the next phase of the country’s political realignments.
