Isaiah Thomas: Viewers Stunned as Influencer Is Hit by Car During Livestream

Isaiah Thomas, known to his followers as @hmblzayy on Twitch, has been hit by a vehicle. Isaiah Thomas was hit by a car.  The US streamer was in the middle of a daring solo journey when a terrifying incident unfolded on a busy highway in Indiana. The Philadelphia native is undertaking an ambitious cross-country faith walk from Philadelphia all the way to California. What happened to Isaiah Thomas? On Tuesday, April 28, while trekking, Thomas was suddenly hit by a car.The shocking moment was captured live on his Twitch stream as he pushed his equipment cart along the road.  “I was kind of like flying in the air,” Thomas later recalled of the impact. He described how everything seemed to move in slow motion as dozens of thoughts flooded his mind in those terrifying seconds. The streamer had just crossed into Indiana and was heading toward his next stop when the accident occurred.

According to Thomas, a supporter had volunteered to drive behind him for safety. In a frightening chain reaction, another vehicle smashed into the back of the supporter’s car, propelling it forward and directly into him. The entire sequence was witnessed by viewers watching his live broadcast in real time. First responders who arrived at the scene were reportedly stunned by what they saw. Thomas was rushed to the hospital, where he spent the evening undergoing medical evaluation. For hours, the extent of his injuries remained unclear to those following the incident. Video of Isaiah Thomas’s accident It was only later that Thomas himself confirmed the outcome. “I am blessed to be alive,” he said.  Miraculously, the streamer escaped with only a few sprains and bruises. “I’m glad nothing broke or anything like that. I’m feeling sore, but I’m blessed to be here.” At the time of the crash, Thomas had already covered over 1,000km of his 4,800km journey. The faith walk is intended to raise funds and awareness for a faith-based trade school he hopes to establish in Philadelphia for at-risk youth. CNN reports that despite the close call, he has expressed his intention to resume the walk once his body recovers.
