He described how everything seemed to move in slow motion as dozens of thoughts flooded his mind in those terrifying seconds. The streamer had just crossed into Indiana and was heading toward his next stop when the accident occurred.
According to Thomas, a supporter had volunteered to drive behind him for safety. In a frightening chain reaction, another vehicle smashed into the back of the supporter’s car, propelling it forward and directly into him. The entire sequence was witnessed by viewers watching his live broadcast in real time. First responders who arrived at the scene were reportedly stunned by what they saw. Thomas was rushed to the hospital, where he spent the evening undergoing medical evaluation. For hours, the extent of his injuries remained unclear to those following the incident.
