TikToker Fardosa is Sick, Shangazi Asks Kenyans to Pray for Her

Tukana-based social media sensation Fardosa is sick. Kenyans sympathise with TikTok sensation Fardosa.  She rose to fame in late 2025 and is widely loved for her authentic, humorous, and unfiltered reactions to experiencing modern city life for the first time. What happened to Fardosa? The TikTok went viral courtesy of a local philanthropist known as Shangazi wa Taifa, who shared clips of Fardosa’s life as a pastoralist widow in Turkana.She captured the hearts of Kenyans with her first-time experiences, such as tasting yoghurt (which she found incredibly sweet), using an elevator, and riding an escalator in Nairobi. Shangazi shared a video of Fardosa being wheeled in a wheelchair, and she asked Kenyans to pray for her.

“Pray for Fardosa,” she wrote. Later, Shangazi revealed that Fardosa was in a drinking stupor, and some Kenyans advised her to take the TikTok sensation to rehab. Shangazi had previously opened up about Fardosa’s struggles with alcohol. In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Shangazi noted that she was battling addiction. “Yes she is sick, she does not want to leave alcohol,: she said.
