Geoffrey Mosiria, Nairobi County’s officer in charge of Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, has issued a public appeal to locate a woman accused of a violent assault.
The official turned to social media to share a “Public Notice” regarding the whereabouts of Gladwel Kagai. Kagai is the primary suspect in an incident involving the assault and robbery of Steve Godia.
Cash Incentive for Justice
To speed up the investigation, Mosiria has announced a financial reward for the public. A bounty of KSh 20,000 is being offered for verified information that leads to the arrest of the suspect through lawful channels.

“If you have any credible information about her whereabouts, please report immediately to the nearest police station. A reward of KSh 20,000 will be offered for verified information that leads to her arrest through lawful channels.”
A Brutal Assault and Theft
According to the official notice, the suspect allegedly burned Godia using hot water. Following the physical attack, she is said to have fled the scene with two mobile phones belonging to the victim.
The financial loss reported in the case is significant. Mosiria stated that KSh 318,450 was transferred to the suspect’s phone during the incident.
This combination of physical violence and theft has prompted a high-profile search for the suspect.
“She allegedly burned him with hot water and fled with his two mobile phones and KSh 318,450, which was reportedly transferred to her phone.”
The Hunt for Gladwel Kagai
The case has been officially reported to the authorities at the Kariobangi South Police Station. Despite the formal report, Gladwel Kagai remains at large.
In his capacity as a county officer, Mosiria is utilizing social media platforms to expand his reach and generate leads.
The victim, Steve Godia, is currently recovering from the injuries sustained during the “brutal assault” described by the official.
