Bilal Wanjau: Actor Buried in Machakos Day after Death

He gained prominence through his work on the popular Tahidi High series on Citizen TV and also featured in productions like Pepeta, Lies That Bind, and Jela 5 Star on Maisha Magic. Why was Bilal Wanjau buried quickly? On Thursday, December 4, Sandra shared news of Bilal’s death, explaining that it was linked to complications from diabetes.

Reports indicate that he had missed his medication for a few days, which led to a diabetic coma. Sandra, who had been assisting Bilal with weight management in recent months, described his loss as a major blow to Kenya’s film industry. What happened at Bilal Wanjau’s burial? She also shared that his burial would take place on Friday, December 5, following Muslim traditions, and requested that the family be kept in your prayers. Nick Kwach was among the actors who attended the solemn ceremony at Bilal’s rural home. Kwach and Bilal had acted together, and he shared a skit in which the deceased played the man dating Kwach’s ex, Aicy Stevens, giving him a difficult time when he went to collect their child. “Rest well, my brother, I am honoured to have shared in your art,” he wrote. Kwach then posted a series of photos from the burial with Aicy.

One photo showed them standing next to the fresh grave, which had numerous aloe vera plants placed on top of it. Rest well, Bilal.”
