Chiki Kuruka, Bien’s manager, has spoken out against the unexpected removal of Mpishi, Matata’s hit collaboration with Bien. The song had amassed 1 million views in just one week before being pulled down.
Expressing her frustration, Chiki called the takedown unfair, emphasizing the hard work behind the track:
“Takedowns are way too easy these days. As someone who was there from the start—watching this song being created from scratch—it’s a shame that baseless claims can lead to this. I’m so sorry, Matata. We’ve spoken officially, and I know how stressful this has been for you. But don’t worry—we’re with you. Brothers for life.”
The Matatas also addressed the issue on social media, assuring fans they are working to resolve the matter and reclaim the song.
