Seasoned entrepreneur, human/mental health rights activist and political aspirant Saumu Mbuvi recently embarked on a new chapter in life by relocating to Dubai.

Through her socials, the mother of 2 candidly opened up about her decision to leave Kenya, highlighting some of the reasons that compelled her to choose the middle eastern country as her new home.
Saumu, who back in 2023 was appointed as the Machakos State Chair for the Anti-Gender Based Violence wing under the auspices of the All-Ladies League, maintained the move was in line with so many things that she holds dear in her heart.

In a video shared on her socials, Saumu appeared radiant and joyful while enjoying a car ride.
She went on to share, “”Salam, welcome back guys. And I’d like to give you reasons why I packed up, settled and decided to fully settle in Dubai.
These are the reasons,
1) There is a safety that Dubai gives me… unmatched. So, I am a lady and the other day I just left the house, walked out at 2:00 am to go look for food and I was alone in the road, and I felt safe. And that safety is what had me feeling like this is my home.
I am woman who is a mother of two and that is the kind of safety I would like to give my children back home. Hence why I actually chose Dubai.
2) I am a woman who is into technology. I am in innovation and Dubai is a technology hub. I love tech so much.
Dubai is smart hub that is actually advancing every single day. It is a smart city that is always advancing which makes me feel I am definitely in the right place. The ideas that Dubai has is the same ideas that make me feel I am in the right place that aligns and supports my ideas. It makes me feel I’m in the right place that goes along with my ideas and this is why I decided to settle here,”
Wrapping up, the entrepreneur added that the country’s governing rules was another strong selling point that greatly motivated her. Especially since she is deeply passionate about human rights.
Saumu Mbuvi with her dad, former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko, “3) another thing is humanity and the laws that govern Dubai. Dubai is a city that is led by kindness and if anything you would choose to be in this world at least choose to be kind.
And that is one thing I like instilling in my children and I would really love them to grown knowing that and Dubai really shows that as an example. It is a city that shows kindness, a city that shows humanity. So with that, I really really love Dubai.
4) Lastly, the opportunities! Another thing is the opportunities from real estate to all the things that happen in Dubai, the opportunities are endless that help someone grow in their field. And that is something I really love,”
Captioning the post she penned, “I chose to settle in Dubai because of its business-friendly environment, strategic location, and strong focus on innovation, particularly in Al and technology. The city offers unparalleled networking and investment opportunities, making it an ideal place to grow and scale businesses.
With world-class infrastructure, a high standard of living, and no personal income tax, Dubai provides both financial and lifestyle advantages. Most importantly, it is one of the safest cities globally, thanks to strict laws, low crime rates, and political stability, ensuring a secure and conducive environment for both personal and professional growth.
