Lynne Njihia is marking her birthday in a special way, with both a vacation and a major career announcement.
The mother of one is currently on holiday with her partner, comedian Eric Omondi, who revealed the surprise getaway as they departed from JKIA on Sunday, March 30.
“It’s her birthday, and I’m taking her to a surprise destination so she can enjoy herself. I need it too,” Eric shared.
The comedian also penned a heartfelt birthday message on Instagram, celebrating Lynne as the love of his life and the mother of their daughter, Kayla Omondi.

Lynne’s Reflections on Growing Older
While excited about her birthday, Lynne admitted she has mixed emotions about getting older.
“Actually, I’m scared—I’m getting older.”
Her comment prompted laughter from Eric, who teasingly responded, “Join the club.” Amused, Lynne playfully reassured him, “Woi babe, sitawahi kukufikia.”
Their age gap is significant—Eric is 43, while Lynne is turning 24.
A Dream in Motion – Lynne’s Modelling Career
Speaking to the media before departure, Lynne expressed gratitude for how much she has achieved over the past year, particularly in terms of her family and personal brand.
“I’m scared that I’m getting older, but at the same time, I’m grateful. The past year has been amazing, especially for my family and my brand. My brand has grown, and as I get older, I hope to continue improving—both in my career and personally. I’ve started modelling, and I’m excited about everything that comes with it.”
Lynne revealed that she has always harboured dreams of becoming an international model.
“Since I was a kid, I wanted to be a model. I used to admire beautiful girls on the runway. But after having Kayla, I gained so much clarity. Motherhood changes your mindset and makes you dream bigger. That’s when I started embracing fitness, and I’ve been working towards my goals ever since.”
Her dedication is already paying off—she recently signed a modelling contract with a UK-based agency.
“It’s baby steps, but I love it here. I’m excited for what’s coming.”
Will Lynne Relocate?
With her new career taking off, many wonder if Lynne will move abroad permanently. She explained that while she will be working with major international brands, she won’t be doing runway modelling but commercial work instead.
“They are currently working on my portfolio, and I’ll be collaborating with big companies. If I start getting many jobs, then yes, I might have to relocate. But with Kayla, it won’t be a problem. Eric can always take a private jet,” she joked.
Eric, on the other hand, intends to remain in Kenya and fully supports her career move.
“Sisi tutabaki huku tuoshe nyumba,” he quipped.
The couple shares a daughter, Kayla Omondi, and despite their different career paths, they continue to support each other.
Lynne’s future in modelling looks bright, and with Eric’s unwavering encouragement, she is ready to take the next big step.
