The 2025 Trace Award show is the talk of East Africa.

Bien is receiving raving reviews online as his musical talents gets people talking.

On a phone call with Digital and content creator 2mbili, Bien explained the matters about him supposedly outshining the Tanzanian, during a performance with Mario for their hit song  – Nairobi which happened at the Trace Award show.

“I don’t read comments, but those are just nonsense, Mario is a very big artist. I don’t like when upcoming artists come out then people start criticizing them. Mario should not be talked about like that, his songs have been jammed to the whole of December even now he is a very important artist in East Africa. Leave him alone he knows his work”

This comes after netizens started comparing the two artistes’ performances at the Trace Awards show in Zanzibar, claiming that Bien saved the day with his stunning performance.

Mario

Both Kenyans and Tanzanians were left in awe, and these are some of the comments the artist received.

“Bien is the King of live performances”

“Not Bien coming and saving Marios career”

“Mario kaamua kutuaibisha sauti akuna hata kidogo !”

“Huwa namtilia sana huyu mtu na tizi anapiga sio mchezo jambo la live band kwake nikama maji yakunywa”

“Uyu jamaa anaimba live nkama ana recordi hongera sana”

“Na uyu ndo aliwazidi wote, wengine ila sitataja jina wote pumzi hamna mnakoroma tu”

This shows that Bien really gave out an outstanding performance which is no surprise to Kenyans as the hit maker has always delivered top notch performances.

Bien

Bien bagged the award for Best Artist in Eastern Africa category, beating out some of East African giants like Diamond Platnumz, Zuchu and others.

The ceremony took place at the Mora Zanzibar Resort to honor the outstanding achievements in African and Afro-inspired music across 24 categories.

The event ended prematurely as the venue faced catastrophe when floods erupted due to the setting of the event near a water body.

This happened before Bien could get his award, but it’s scheduled that he will receive it in Kenya.

On the phone call, Bien also confirmed that he is currently working on a music video with a foreign artist, and it is sure to make his fans happy.

He was then asked if he still has the chain he got from Harmonize,

“Nlirudisha iyo chain ilikuwa kubwa sana na ilikuwa inaninyonga “he said while laughing

He continued by saying while he was away from Kenya, he recorded songs with Harmonize and they will also be released soon. He even claimed that he can’t charge Harmonize for a collabo simply because of who he is

“I can’t charge Harmonize. I actually want to feature in his songs so that his people can hear me “he said.
