Renowned English reggae star Don Campbell is in Kenya. The celebrated reggae singer arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Tuesday morning, ahead of his much-anticipated show this coming weekend.
He is expected to perform at a charity show named ‘Reggae With A Cause’ that will take place at KICC hall on Saturday, February 15th. This will be the second show that the reggae icon will be performing on the African continent.
“It is a pleasure to be here. It’s even more pleasure that I have come here to support,” Don Campbell said after landing at JKIA.
“My flight was long; I don’t like long flights. But it was so good; it was a comfortable journey, and it’s a pleasure to be here and support as well,” he added.
The reggae star thanked all his Kenyan supporters and expressed his eagerness to be performing in Kenya for the first time.
He also expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the charity concert that will take place at KICC.
“This is my first time here in Kenya, but I have been and performed in Africa before. That was in Harare, Zimbabwe. That was a pleasure to be there back then. That was a few years ago,” he said.
Don Campbell also pointed out that he looks forward to meeting with his Kenyan fans.

The reggae star is set to perform at the highly anticipated ‘Reggae with a Cause’ concert this coming weekend.
The event, which aims to support people with hearing impairments, will take place in Nairobi on February 15, 2025, at the Tsavo Ballroom, KICC.
More than just a music festival, ‘Reggae with a Cause’ seeks to drive social change, making Campbell’s debut in Africa a historic moment for reggae fans.
Known for his smooth vocals and captivating reggae hits, Don Campbell has mesmerized audiences worldwide but has never performed on Kenyan soil—until now.
At this special event, he will share the stage with Jamaican reggae stars Alborosie & The Shengen Clan in what promises to be one of the biggest reggae concerts Kenya has ever seen.
What sets this festival apart is its commitment to supporting Kenya’s Deaf community.

Organized in partnership with Kwale Deaf Centre, the event will create opportunities for individuals with hearing impairments, allowing them to manage food and beverage sales. Additionally, attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn and use Kenyan Sign Language during the event.
The ultimate goal is to break stereotypes about deafness and empower the community by fostering inclusivity.
The concert will also feature top Kenyan reggae artists, including Nazizi and Wyre, along with some of the best DJs in the industry. An audience of 3,000 to 4,000 people is expected to attend.
This will be a rare chance for reggae lovers to witness Don Campbell’s first-ever live performance in Africa.
‘Reggae with a Cause’ is an initiative by The Long Trail Community Impact, a Dutch-based nonprofit supporting vulnerable groups in East Africa.
