Government Announces Dates for KPSEA, KCSE Registration

With Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba announcing the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results, the registration dates for 2025 candidates have also been revealed.When will registration of KCSE, KPSEA candidates start? In a statement seen by TUKO.co.ke the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced that registration for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) will begin on Monday, January 27. Meanwhile, the registration portals for the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) will open on Monday, February 17.

KNEC CEO David Njeng’ere urged all centre managers to ensure that candidates are registered for the subjects they are currently studying, as there will be no alternatives for incorrect registrations. “To this end, I wish to point out that while there was a remarkable improvement in the quality of registration data for the KCSE examination in 2024, there were cases of 113 candidates in 88 examination centres registered for the wrong subjects. This is despite KNEC reiterating that KCSE examination papers will be personalised,” Njeng’ere said.  “I therefore request all Centre Managers to ensure that all their candidates are registered for the subjects they are learning because. Any candidates who will be erroneously registered in 2025 will have no alternative but to defer their examination to 2026,” he further stated
