What Rigathi Gachagua said about Natembeya In a public statement on Sunday, January 5, the former deputy president encouraged the Trans Nzoia governor Natembeya to remain steadfast in his service to the people and not to be distracted by critics.

“My Dear Brother Governor Natembeya. Please do not let the Court Poets & Masters of platitude distract you from the work you are doing of delivering to the people of Trans-Nzoia County. These Court Jesters are on the misguided assignment of providing comic relief to their master,” Gachagua said. The former deputy president asked Natembeya not to be afraid of speaking the truth, adding criticism from President William Ruto’s allies, which shows that the governor was impacting society.

“And do not be cowed from speaking out on behalf of the people of Kenya when it’s necessary. The rants and tirade being thrown at you are a clear testimony that you are making an impact as you speak truth to power,” he added. Meanwhile speaking in on Sunday, January 5, Nambeya denied any links to the former deputy president. “There is something deeply wrong with this country… The president cannot evade responsibility for addressing the issue of abductions, as the duty to protect Kenyans and their property rests squarely on his shoulders,” Natembeya said.
