The family of fallen volleyball star, Janet Wanja, has announced her funeral programme. Janet Wanja died on December 26. Where will Janet Wanja be buried? The former Malkia Strikers player, who won the hearts of Kenyans thanks to her hard work on the volleyball court, will be laid to rest on Friday, January 3, 2025.
According to an update from the family, Wanja’s candle-lighting vigil will be held on Tuesday, December 31 at her residence at Vikam B Centre, Clay city, Kasarani starting from 7 pm. A requiem mass will be held at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani Indoor Arena, on Thursday, January 2, 2025. The volleyball queen will be buried on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Lang’ata Cemetery, Nairobi county. The famous veteran footballer, penned a touching message to her, admitting that he was heartbroken. Kimani shared a photo holding hands with Wanja and other siblings accompanied by the message below: “My soul bleeds💔.” He also shared another post, a video of Wanja accompanied by Gramps Morgan’s song, People Like You.
