David Sankok Swept by Waves While Swimming in Mombasa, Loses His Crutches

East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament David Ole Sankok found himself in a distressing situation after losing his crutches while swimming at Pirates Beach. EALA MP David Ole Sankok at a past event on the coast. Sankok, who was swimming with the assistance of a companion, believed to be a swimming instructor, was engaged in deep conversation when a sudden wave swept over them. 

 In a video he shared online, the MP can be heard lamenting after a strong current caused him to lose his crutches in the water. . He also urged the instructor to assist in retrieving the crutches while he struggled to steady himself in the water. “Where are my crutches? My crutches have disappeared. Let us find them,” as he called for help.

 Captioning the video, Sankok humorously noted, “Pretence is bad, I lost my crutches while swimming in Pirates Beach.” The incident highlights the challenges Sankok faced during what was meant to be a casual and relaxing swim at the popular beach. How did Kenyans react to Sankok’s plight? 

The video has since drawn attention online, with many humorously reacting to his plight. GRADUATION GOWNS-THE SAINTS said: “😂😂😂😂 yote sababu ya ujuaji.” Queen of Kericho reacted: “Wooi my stomach sina nguvu ya kucheka tena 😂😂.” Mutai asked: “Unaingia majini na crutches?” 

Sein Ruth posed: “Kumbe mheshimiwa pia yeye anaendanga public beach?😂.” Jackieofficial stated: “Don’t joke na waves za pirate.” Tigress 🛡️ “Ulikua una sema hauwezi kaa kando ya Babu Owino juu ya crutches sasa ona sahizi 🤣🤣🤣.” Hon Kasero Saitoti said: “I like the way you enjoy life while st the helm of leadership.”
