Florence Wanjiku, the estranged partner of Nakuru pastor Elias Njeru, has been using social media to share her journey of recovery after surviving a harrowing domestic incident.
Florence was hospitalised weeks ago following an alleged attack by Njeru. Now, as she continues her healing process, she has been inspiring her followers with uplifting and positive posts.
Despite the physical and emotional pain from her injuries, Florence has chosen to focus on optimism and hope.
In a recent TikTok post, she shared a video of joyfully dancing to a Kikuyu song while wishing her audience a happy Jamhuri Day.
Though her hand remained bandaged, her vibrant energy was evident. “Happy Jamhuri Day, my fellow women,” she captioned the video.
In another heartfelt post, Florence appeared alongside a security guard, reflecting on her healing journey. Accompanying the video was an empowering message: “I am a kind-hearted person. Don’t underrate people.”

Complex Relationship History for Njeru and Florence
In December 2024, Njeru shed light on his relationship with Florence and his marital history. Speaking in an interview with Metha ya Kagoni, the pastor revealed that he has a wife of 12 years, Wairimu, and three children in Nairobi. Florence, from Nakuru, was his second wife.
“I have one wife in Nairobi. We have been together for twelve years with three children, and I have another wife in Nakuru,” Njeru disclosed.
He explained that he met Wairimu in their teenage years, marrying her while both were students at Kenyatta University.
“My wife’s name is Wairimu, and we got married in campus. I first saw her when she was in Class Seven in Kirinyaga County,” he recounted, adding that their bond strengthened during their university years.

While living in Nairobi, Njeru became involved with Florence through a business partnership that eventually led to a romantic relationship.
“Getting another family does not mean I had issues with my wife. We were doing business together, and in those activities, we ended up having a child,” he explained.
Njeru admitted to keeping his second family hidden from his first wife to allow him to be actively involved in his son’s life with Florence.
However, this secrecy unraveled in July 2024 when Florence contacted Wairimu and revealed her existence. “We were together for almost two years before my first wife found out. I was buying time to be involved in my child’s life,” he stated.

The strained relationship between Florence and Njeru escalated in November 2024 when CCTV footage captured a heated altercation between the two in a parking lot.
This confrontation allegedly ended with Njeru stabbing Florence 18 times. Following the incident, Njeru surrendered himself to Nakuru Police Station on November 25, but he was later released on bail as investigations began.
