| A Kenyan man destroys his US passport |
A Kenyan man who has lived in the US for nearly 13 years, Benson has shredded his passport. Kenyan man in the US shreds his passport weeks after saying he wanted to return to Kenya. In a video that has gone viral, Benson took his American passport and shredded it on camera. The content creator was responding to a follower who noted that he was waiting for the man to denounce his US citizenship. He said: “You are not back to Kenya yet? Was waiting for your video denouncing USA citizenship in Jomo Kenyatta.” The US-based man was forced to defend himself, noting that he was not clout chasing. “Its interesting because so many people see that we are clout chasing over here. This is my US passport, and this is my Kenyan passport. Let me show you a picture and details and see that the expiry date is 2032.” He then placed his passport in a paper shredder and took it out to show his followers the damage that was dealt to his passport. Benson carried on with the shredding of his passport and it got stuck in the shredder. He claimed that the future was the Kenyan passport.
