The accident caused traffic disruption, forcing motorists to spend hours on the busy highway. Photos shared from the accident scene showed the harrowing magnitude of the accident. The front part of one truck was reduced to a shell. A crowd that had milled around the scene was shocked as rescuers and authorities began the rescue and retrieval operations.
