The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has issued a notice to the owner of a multi-million property in Nyayo Highrise estate to have it demolished within 14 days. The notice signed on Friday, October 12, indicated an inspection conducted on the property showed it had encroached on Nairobi Dam embankment.

It also indicated the owner of Edermann properties, was required to present himself to the Deputy Director Enforcement (DDE) at NEMA’s headquarter on Monday, October 15, with his legal advisor.

The order, handed over to the property’s caretaker, Loise Jeptoo, was replicated by the Water Resources Authority Management (WRAM) asking the owner to bring the property down. The authority also gave the owner 90-days to ensure the riparian land was restored to it’s original state.
